  • 1 lb Kielbasa sausage sliced into rounds
  • 1 bag frozen mixed vegetables about 12 oz
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method
 

  1. Slice the kielbasa sausage into rounds about ½ inch thick using a sharp chef's knife on a cutting board. Measure out and set aside.

  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering and just beginning to smoke slightly.

  3. Add the sliced sausage to the hot skillet, arranging them in a single layer. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the slices are evenly browned and crispy on the edges. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until fragrant and lightly golden, stirring constantly to prevent burning.

  5. Pour in the frozen vegetables, spreading them out evenly. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are heated through, tender, and some pieces start to caramelize and brown slightly.

  6. Return the browned sausage to the skillet, mixing everything well. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until combined and heated through. Serve hot directly from the skillet.
