- Bring the water to a boil in a kettle or saucepan, then pour over the tea bags or loose tea in a teapot. Steep for about 5 minutes until the tea is strong and fragrant, then remove the tea bags.
- While the tea is brewing, wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them into small pieces. Use a muddler or fork to mash the strawberries until they release their juice and become slightly chunky.
- Pour the hot brewed tea into a container and let it cool slightly for a few minutes. Add the honey or sugar, stirring until fully dissolved.
- In a pitcher, combine the cooled tea with the sliced strawberries and their juice. Mix gently to infuse the flavors for about 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, add the milk to the infused tea mixture, stirring well to blend the fruity and creamy elements together.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes, then pour the strawberry milk tea over the ice, giving it a gentle stir to chill thoroughly and serve.
- Garnish each glass with a fresh strawberry or a sprig of mint if desired, and enjoy this refreshing pink beverage.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute plant-based milk and honey with agave syrup or maple syrup.
